Do you think the old saying is true: “Nothing in this life is certain except death and taxes?” What if I were to ask about your Salvation? Can you be certain you will go to Heaven once you die or when Christ comes back? Yes, you can! How do I know? The Bible tells me so.

For certain, I was separated from a Holy God because of my sin and its resulting unholiness (Romans 3:23).

For certain, without Holiness, no one will see God (Hebrews 12:14b).

For certain, I was therefore good as dead for the [certain] coming eternity (2 Peter 3:10).

For certain, God loved me even so and pursued a relationship with me even when I wasn’t much interested (John 3:16 and Romans 5:8).

One day however the kingdom of Heaven came near me and I became certain of my sin and that, without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sin and no hope of eternal restoration (Matthew 10:7 and Hebrews 9:22).

For certain, not just any old blood would do (Hebrews 10:4).

For certain, Someone with just the right blood shed that blood in just the right way, taking on the suffering and shame for my sin (Romans 5:6).

For certain, that sacrifice made a way for a separated, unholy person like me to be made Holy and given hope for abundant life through Him now and eternal life with Him later (Hebrews 10:14).

Now, nothing will separate me from the love of God – not even me. I am eternally secure in Christ – that’s for certain (John 10:28-29 and Romans 8:35)!
